But hes being brought here to play 25-30 minutes a game, I cant imagine him not putting up some kind of numbers on the counting stats.
And Im certainly not saying hes better than all the Euros brought over in recent years, but I do truly think this offseason is the first of a brand new era. Even as recently as last offseason, no one was giving out $1M - $1.5M to entice 18 year old European players to come over here. Theres no scenario where this kid doesnt just keep making $500,000 at Real Madrid in any season prior to this one.

And maybe it really is the case that in the past this level of player simply didnt play college. Im very skeptical.

Id be shocked if hes not a starter (assuming he actually gets through admissions/eligibility), were not paying nearly $1M (allegedly) for him to be a depth piece. But I also think many people will see projected first round pick and assume that hes going to be one of the best players in college basketball, which is way too much.
But Id be surprised if he cant be something like a 9-10 PPG guy that throws in a few assists and rebounds as well.

I know 1 or 2 of the UCLA guys were pretty highly regarded, but my guess is that a lot of the names on his list were big guys or players that needed to add a lot of strength. The fact that KJ is neither of those things makes me a lot more confident.

Most of the players in that sample would be of the Matic and Moretti variety. This guy and Demin would never be over here if not for NIL.
I dont expect him to be an all league player as a freshman but I dont put any stock into that type of comparison.
