The plot of Home Alone 3 is a compelling idea, and the formula worked well for the first 2 movies, but unfortunately, the new cast just doesn't deliver as impressive a performance as the original cast.

I could never hate this movie, and I think it holds up. It may be a leap from the Wet Bandits trying to steal from Kevin to one boy fending off a major act of espionage, but... Well, even the original movie can be a bit far-fetched. Plus, it dared to throw new dynamics into the work, with the boy having to work in the brief open windows during the daytime, adding a new level of tension. Pared together with fun slapstick and over-the-top action? Instant childhood classic.

Home Alone 3 is a family comedy directed by Raja Gosnell. Released in 1997, the film follows an eight-year-old boy named Alex Pruitt, played by Alex D. Linz, who is left home alone with the chickenpox. During his time home, he must fend off four international spies who are searching for a top-secret microchip hidden in his toy car.
