Dash My Mug Ice Cream Maker (2024)

So far I like it

If anyone can recommend how to make it so it's more creamy and less icy like store bought ice cream that would be great as I'm just starting out. So far everything is great. I also don't think I put enough milk so it was very yogurt, I love to experiment! My parents gave this to me for my bday. I ate frozen yogurt for breakfast by mixing milk and yogurt. It took less than 30 mins and is very fast.

An absolute hit with the kids!

My kids could not believe we were about to make ice cream at home, out of this small device. The instructions were super easy to understand, simple and clear. We had a blast making homemade ice cream and made a great memory together as a family. You can even make sorbet from fresh berries with this machine! I highly recommend it!

I think it's awesome! My love of ice cream has been all my life! I used to go to the cafe with my Grandpa a lot to get a cream cone! My husband doesn't care for it so now I get to make some for only ME!! YAY! I'm excited!

Such a fun idea

Still working out how best to use my 2 new little ice cream machines. 1st attempt with KAF recipe for mocha ice cream tastes wonderful but was at best soft serve after 20 minutes. That's okay. The recipe suggested adding a couple of tablespoons Kahlua after churning is complete and before putting in the freezer to keep the ice cream from freezing rock hard. It is really good! So it's possible my new My Mugs will be for making ice cream and then freezing for a couple hours before it's perfect. I'm also looking forward to stirring up Chobani Greek yogurt fruit on the bottom and putting it in the My Mug for frozen yogurt soft serve. It would be ideal for that. Lots of options and looking forward to trying many different recipes!

Makes delicious frozen dessert especially non-dairy and vegan as shown in the pictures below 🍨 takes up less freezer space small and compact you can choose to make a healthy sugar-free low carb ice cream or sugary if you like 👍🏽 The directions are simple all you have to do is put the mug in the freezer until it's completely frozen and make your ice cream mixture. I thought it was adequate for what i needed and was adorable. Sorbet type good were fine after it was done. Dairy based ice cream needed to be popped into the freezer to firm up more. Put it away in the original packaging over the holidays and pulled it out to find that it leaked (see image)...hopefully customer service has a solution since I haven't even had it for a year.

Cute but hard to eat out of

I loved the way the ice cream turned out but when I went to eat out of the mug the ice cream against the sides was so could I couldn't scrape it off and was scratching the bowl. Even trying to put it into another bowl right away doesn't work so that's a little frustrating when I'm making a very small serving and 1/4 if it ends up on the walls.

Paddle Was Missing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Can't really say how my granddaughter liked her ice cream maker/gift-- as the "paddle" was missing from the unit that was shipped!DASH worked with me and has honored my purchase by replacing either the part or the unit-- they weren't explicit on exactly what they would be sending. I am grateful that this business did step up and did the right thing! Keeping my fingers crossed that the "replacement" arrives!

We had to churn for 15-20 min and then if we wanted the ice cream more firm we had to put in freezer for more firm consistency. We made vanilla and added chocolate chips and it was good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is pretty easy to use but I found my icecream comes out super soft so I have to put it in the freezer after it finishes mixing. I did the recipe for the vanilla icecream that comes in the manual but I tried to substitute honey instead of sugar and it came out very soupy, so the lesson is, follow the recipes! Similar to baking its kind of a chemistry so it was not easy to sub/change the recipes and I tried looking on their website for more recipes and couldn't find any. So that's my one complaint, is it works different than traditional icecream makers and I found you really have to follow the recipes they provide but there's only 4 recipes provided. This ice cream maker is perfect for my needs, especially with my small freezer space. This one is amazing. It is very easy to use, and it makes enough servings for at least 2 people. All you have to do is put the mug section in the freezer for about 24 hours, and then add your ingredients as the instructions show, and then have homemade ice cream. This is very easy to store, and I like that the instructions even include some recipes to make.
