Aeromexico has dropped the price of their Business Class flights from Toronto to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico down to $590 CAD roundtrip including taxes.

The flights have 1 stop each way in Mexico City.

You can also find business class flights from Toronto to Cancun for a similar price.

On the one hand:

- The Business Class price is about the same as current/typical Economy Class prices to PVR, which is highly unusual.

Normally Aeromexico charges somewhere in the range of $1000-$1500 CAD roundtrip for these flights.

On the other hand:

- These flights do connect through Mexico City, and PVR is a destination most people expect to fly nonstop to. These flights take about 9 hours, versus around 6 hours for a nonstop flight.

- All passengers need to go through immigration and customs at MEX, and 75 minutes can be very wishful thinking. Often times even 2 hours can be tight. The flights to Cancun have longer layovers (2-3 hours) than the ones to PVR (75 minutes).

- Aeromexico Business Class isn't truly the all out business class experience on short haul flights. Only routes using the Dreamliner have lie flat seats.

Between YYZ and MEX you can expect recliner seats in a 2-2 configuration. Between MEX and PVR it will be recliner seats in a 2-2 configuration, or 3-3 with the middle seat blocked out.

- There's an Aeromexico business class lounge at MEX, but as mentioned above, you wouldn't have time for it.
